Happy Monday everyone! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and got to relax a little bit.
Charlie took full advantage of relaxation and I usually found in snuggled between some pillows fast asleep! Silly kitty
This weekend was a success for me by far because I was able to get through some workouts and enjoy them! So I’d say that I’m almost completely recovered from bronchitis, yay!
Meg and I got a semi-decent run in on Sunday morning. The weather was perfect. We meant to do 8 miles, and I should have known that just coming back, 8 miles was going to be quite ambitious. We did just over 5 miles. Thanks Meg for being patient! I’ll be back in full commission in no time!
Last night, I ended up hosting an impromptu dinner party…we only decided about 6 hours before hand. Boy did I clean and cook like a crazy person! Road runner mode…ON!
Cait was a huge help making beautiful fruit skewers to grill. We decided on grilling up chicken and steak and serving it with a big bowl of salad. Typical dietitian fare
(or RD2Be fare!)
Salads are actually the first thing that I ever learned to make. Growing up, my mom always assigned me salad duty, so I’ve become quite skilled in the art of beautiful salads. Thanks Mom!
To go with the fruit skewers, I whipped up some yogurt dip. This recipe is super simple so I’m just going to write it out here:
Honey Lime Fruit Dip
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 lime, juice and zest
- 2 tsp honey
Mix together. Let flavors blend for a few hours or overnight in the fridge. Serve with fruit or eat on it’s own!

Anyways, this past week I was assigned some new roles in the fitness sector, which I am super excited about.
You may have seen my #SweatPink button on the side of the blog. Along with a few other amazing ladies, I was chosen as a Sweat Pink Ambassador. Sweat Pink was born through Fit Approach and the talented Jamie and Alyse. Sweat Pink Ambassadors live the Fit Approach mission every day: they sweat hard, play hard, and inspire those around them to achieve their best selves.
Then, this weekend I found out that I was also chosen to be a #Fitfluential Ambassador. Very excited about this role as well. Fitfluential considers their Ambassadors to be the highest rank in our rapidly growing community of fitness fanatics.
So what does this mean all in all?
It means that I have more reach to convey my message of a healthy and fit lifestyle to the masses. It means more opportunities for you as blog readers to learn new fitness trends, see a few giveaways, and be inspired yourselves!
Thanks so much for your support!
