Nectarine Lime Green Juice

It is day 3 of Crazy Sexy Challenge and guess what?  I’m sick.  Mario is convinced its because I’m not consuming meat…such a boy Winking smile

But, after sleeping for almost 7 hours today (that doesn’t include last night), I whipped up some green juice to hopefully help my system fight.  Let me introduce you to Nectarine Lime Green Juice!

Ingredients (makes 2 servings):

  • 3 stalks romaine
  • 1 stalk kale
  • 1/2 seedless cucumber
  • 1 lime
  • 1 nectarine

I loved the addition of lime to this as it helped to neutralize the salad like flavor that I noticed in my last recipe.  Plus letting the green juice chill in the fridge for an hour is amazing!  Warm green juice just doesn’t do it for me.  This juice is here to stay Smile

Day 3 Thoughts:

Not feeling well made me really crave chicken noodle soup which is staple in my diet when I’m sick.  So I made a slight change and had Vegetable Lentil Soup with Roasted Red Peppers (made by Pacific Naturals). 

Hopefully my system will rebound easily since I’m consumed so many plant foods!  Isn’t that the idea of this challenge?  To boost the immune system?

That juice sounds freaking delicious!! Going to whip some up once I get some kale at the store tonight

Thanks! If you want it a little fruitier I’d recommend an extra nectarine.
