My new home

by Melissa on August 18, 2012

I’m all settled in and I thought I’d share with you some pictures of the new place here in Maryland Smile

Mom and I took a few days to make this 1 bedroom apartment feel like a home and I have to say, Charlie and I are quite comfortable here.

I had to get a PSU Football mat for the front door.  Gotta take the pride everywhere!

Starting from the front door, this is the view when you first enter.  I’m in love with the clock I found.  Believe it or not, Mom and I found it at Home Depot!

The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all together making a great open concept.  It’s an awkward shape and it took us awhile to figure out the best way to arrange everything, but I think it looks pretty good.

This is from the dining room into the living room.  Yep, even Charlie had to get in on the action!

This is where all the magic will happen now!  It’s a smaller kitchen than my last place, but I like the layout.  Don’t worry, lots of yummy recipes will be coming your way Smile

I have a great patio through those sliding doors.  The fireplace is wood burning, so I’m sure in the winter I’ll really enjoy that!

I love the patio!  It’s huge.  It’s also a great place to store my bike so that it stays out of the elements.

I can even get to the patio from the bedroom, which is really nice in the morning.

The bedroom is a great size!  It’s the perfect place to relax.  I’ve had this color scheme since sophomore year and I haven’t gotten sick of it yet.

Charlie loves all the windows in this place.  I put the ottomans right next to the window in the bedroom so he can relax there.

Sorry for the bathroom picture, but this vanity is huge!  I’m so happy that there aren’t two sinks.  It’s so silly for one person.  Girl needs her counter space.

Well there you go!  This is my new home in Maryland while I complete my dietetic internship.  That starts Monday and I’m a combination of nervous and excited!

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
