It’s Friday!!! Woop Woop (although I’m pretty sure the camel used that since he was excited for Wednesday)…
Oh well! Doesn’t matter, I’m pretty much that excited
And since it’s Friday and I’ve been seeing this thing called “5 Things Friday”, that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna give you five things that I’m excited for, that were really cool that happened this week, or I just plain can’t get it out of my head. So hear ya go – enjoy, in all your Friday glory!
#1 Being Upside Down
On Monday, we started our day with a headstand and it pretty much made my entire day better. I’m starting to think I’ve been living with too little blood going to my head and inversions are the only cure. Can you imagine what I could’ve been doing with the last 25 years of my life if I had figured this out years ago!?!

#2 Spotify is the Bomb
Bomb diggity…oh and yes, Spotify will play No Diggity if you’re into that – which honestly, who isn’t? I’ve been using it for almost a year to create my workout playlists for cycling, yoga, and running. So easy to make a half marathon long playlist with room to shuffle.
I like the way you work it…
#3 Half Marathon Number 12
March 2009 was my first. I remember when I was training and ran my first 6 miler – I went home and made pizza. Yeah, that was pretty anticlimactic and we probably shouldn’t spend all our hard earned calorie burn on empty calories, but I still enjoy a good stack of pancakes or other refined carbohydrate after a long run or race.
So Annapolis here I come – because I need to cross Maryland off my list!
#4 My Little Man is 9 Years Old
I can’t believe he just had his 9th birthday, and I missed it. I hope this isn’t foreshadowing my motherly abilities. I also hope he doesn’t notice and that we can just celebrate next week with a big bowl of fancy feast.
I think he prefers celebrating with Pap Pap anyways
In case you’re interested, this was one of the first posts he was featured in. Oh when Charlie and the blog were babies – such simple days…
#5 Tis the Season
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care. ehhhhh, not exactly But I do have my tree up ready for ornaments and Christmas music is playing on Spotify (see #3).
And, downtown Bethesda is decorated and ready for Santa! It’s my favorite time of year. Now if only DC would cooperate and get a little snow. Help a girl out Mother Nature!
What’s your Friday Five?
